The numbers 55–200 refers to the minimum and maximum focal lengths for that lens, 4.5–5.6 is the aperture of the lens at 55 and 200mm respectively. The f4.5 being the maximum f stop possible for the lens at 55mm and 5.6 being the maximum at 200mm.
