If you like the rich colour rendition and the Zeiss “pop” you might prefer them to G lenses, or even GM. But you lose out in the Autofocus stakes - also, these are prime lenses (Loxia are manual focus, Batis have AF) whereas GM lenses have the best AF, many are zoom lenses and tend to have a wider aperture than Zeiss.
