Buddhism is as complex in terms of practice and belief as Judaism is, but speaking broadly Buddha is not considered a god by Buddhists so I don't think this would qualify as idolatry. However, it's DEFINITELY a symbol of someone else's religion in a space you want to reserve for spiritual practice.
