When shooting with a gimbal and skimming through the long takes, you don't have to slow it down and use post stabilization, which makes your shooting and editing so much easier. Without a gimbal, a tiny little bump in the shooting, especially at longer focal lengths, may lead you to some entirely unusable shots.
