Alexander III (born March 10 [February 26, Old Style], 1845, St. Petersburg, Russia—died November 1 [October 20, Old Style], 1894, Livadiya, Crimea) was the emperor of Russia from 1881 to 1894, an opponent of representative government, and a supporter of Russian nationalism.
