In a food web matrix, rows represent consumers/ predators, and columns represent resources/prey. At the intersec- tion of each row and column, a 1 is assigned to the cell if the consumer/predator feeds on the resource/prey, and a 0 is assigned to the cell if the consumer/predator does not feed on the resource/ prey.
