Studio Monitors are meant to be exceptionally FLAT. That way when you are mixing, truly mixing, sound, the speaker doesn't color the mix. For example, if you speaker has too much bass, when you mix, you are going to under-mix the bass, so in the final mix that the bass will sound very thin on a truly flat speakers.
