The 14 pros were the first iPhones to upgrade their cameras to 48 megapixels. More megapixels means higher fidelity. However their image pipeline was built for the lower fidelity 12mp sensors of the previous phones. This led to photos being over sharpened as the older sensors needed sharpening however these do not.
