As an experienced newborn photographer who has been photographing babies for almost fifteen years, my answer is no, two months is not too old for newborn photos! I often get messages from new moms who are worried they have missed the time frame for booking their newborn photoshoot.

Two months is still within a comfortable window for newborn photos. While the first few weeks offer those classic, sleepy portraits, some babies are ready to be a little less "sleepy" by this age.

Here's how it works:

• Less Frenzied: The new baby stage is more relaxed and curious, making them more likely to pose for longer durations.
• Visible Milestones: By this time, you can see some of their unique features, like a furrowed brow or a playful smile, that make these photos special.

However, 2 months presents some challenges:

• Active Baby: Babies at this age are very mobile and may be difficult to keep still for long periods.
• Less Sleepiness: The older babies aren’t as sleepy, making it challenging to capture their precious newborn moments.

It's all about finding a compromise that works with your baby’s personality.
