Eco-Types goes beyond these traditional views of an environmentalist by identifying five typologies for the ways people relate to and engage with the environment (what Huddart Kennedy refers to as eco-social relationships): the eco-engaged, the self-effacing, the optimists, the fatalists, and the indifferent.
