The short answer is yes. Yes, you can gig with a 20 watt tube amp. A 20 watt tube amp is loud enough to keep with a drummer, even while playing extreme metal music, I can say that from personal experience. I own a peavey invective mh (20 watt) and I've played local and out of town shows with it without a problem.
