Traditional underwater object detection methods depend on manually designed feature extraction and classification algorithms. These methods encompass various techniques, such as sonar and optical imaging (Mukherjee et al. 2011; Tucker and Azimi-Sadjadi 2011; Ghafoor and Noh 2019; Gillis 2020; Jian et al. 2021).
