To shoot cinematic-style videos on the iPhone 16, you'll need to use Cinematic Mode.

Here's how:

Open the Camera app and then swipe to Cinematic Mode.

Tap the "Depth Control" button and slide the slider to adjust the depth of field (DOF).

To switch to telephoto, press the "1x" button and then press it again to return to wide-angle mode.

Adjust the exposure by sliding the slider on the "Exposure" button to make your video brighter or darker.

Select "Auto," "On," or "Off" for the flash using the "Flash" button.

Press the record button to start recording.

Tap a subject in the viewfinder to change focus during recording. You can also double-tap to enable automatic autofocus tracking on the object.

Press the record button again to stop recording.

Tips for shooting cinematic-style videos on iPhone 16:

Use good lighting: If you're shooting indoors, consider investing in a ring light, key lights, and softboxes.

Hold the camera steady: Holding the camera with both hands and keeping your arms close to your body will help to keep it stable during movement. Take small, gentle steps while moving.

Use a gimbal: A gimbal smooths out footage and allows you to add cinematic movements like moving the camera back and forth.

Edit your videos in Photos: After recording, you can edit your Cinematic mode video directly within the Photos app.
