Is 24 70 2.8 good for portraits?

If you're serious about portraits, I recommend purchasing the 24-70mm f/2.8 over the 24-70mm f/4. Can you still produce nice background blur with an f/4 lens? Yes, but it'll be a lot harder to do, and often won't look quite as good.
