Yes, we do get almost double the pixel count of the D750, but the D850 is more expensive still as a result, so there is the need to weigh up whether the 24.3MP resolution of the D750 will suit your purposes just fine, or you really do need the extra oomph of the 45.7MP count of the Nikon D850.
