If you consider the total amount of light falling on the same FF sensor, the difference between F2. 8 and F3. 5 is probably more like 40% rather than 56%. This 40% difference can be easily overcome with imaging skills such as picking optimal ISO/sub-length combinations, stacking, or other post processing.
